Who is this dog for?

My husband and me. No kids. No other pets.

Why do you want a Pembroke?
I generally like the temperament of herding dogs. I like the size of a corgi, and I love how they look. I like how smart they are and that they are eager to learn. I don't mind shedding. In fact, I think there should be dog hair in everything you own, including your food!

Activities planned with Pembroke:
Lots of walking. Playing ball in the yard. I'd like to try agility. No dog parks… I think those are generally asking for trouble. Lots of belly rubs.

Will handle mistakes Pembroke makes like this:
I have an un-uh sound that worked very well with our last dog. Redirect bad behavior (like chewing on the wrong thing.)

Discipline:
Mostly verbal commands. Firm "no." Not rewarding undesirable behavior with petting or nice tone of voice. Turning back for bad behavior like jumping up.

Where would Pembroke spend the majority of the time:
In the house. Probably on my lap.
