Who is this dog for?

I'm seeking a Pembroke for myself. I am a young professional who grew up with corgis and now I'm looking to take in one of my own.

Why do you want a Pembroke?
I grew up with Corgis and have been in love with them ever since. I think they are the perfect size, friendly, active and usually, easy going. Not only have I grown up with Corgis but so have members of my extended family, so I have been around Corgis of all demeanors.

Activities planned with Pembroke:
Activities would consist of lots of walks, dog parks, dog beaches and play dates with my family corgi and my brother's terrier.

Will handle mistakes Pembroke makes like this:
Get the dogs attention, use an appropriately commanding voice and say "no".

Discipline:
I'm a strong believer in shaping a dogs behavior with rewards and accolades. Shaping the behavior by acknowledging when things are done correctly.

Where would Pembroke spend the majority of the time:
The Pembroke would spend most of his/her time in my apartment. On days that I have to work late, a dog walker will come in. If I'm out of town, the dog would stay with my brother or parents, all of which have dogs.
