Why do you want a Pembroke?
I love the breed. I have spent a lot of time with corgis at dog events and through friends who own them. I have a Manx Cat and I think they would make perfect siblings.

Activities planned with Pembroke:
Everything! In the warmer seasons I spend a lot of time out doors, fishing, camping, boating, swimming, attending pet friendly festivals/activities. In the winter we can bundle up and go for walks in the neighborhood followed by naps in front of the fireplace.

Will handle mistakes Pembroke makes like this:
Animals make mistakes and with each pet it's different how you would handel the situation. It would also depend on the type of mistake. Sometimes fixing the mistake is based on the owner being proactive, for example if the dog keeps peeing in the house maybe you need to take the dog out more and provide rewards when the behavior exhibited is the correct one.

I don't know. I guess that is something I will have to learn, the appropriate type of discipline.

I have a nice back yard that faces a forest line. My back yard has a cement patio w a pergola and patio furniture, beyond that is all grass to one side there is a cement fire pit that stands about two feet high.

I don't want children, I prefer to raise dogs and cats. If I happen to have a child in the future it is very important to me at children are raised learning how to respect all living things.

Yes, all of our current pets are friendly toward dogs.

Are you willing to work on it if your new dog doesn’t get along with your current pets right away?
Yes, for sure. She's been exposed to other dogs in the past. She is timid the first few days, and even a bit protective of her home but we've always been able to get along. I often baby sit friends dogs typically for a week or two at a time, and I've never had serious issues.
