Who is this dog for?

This Pembroke is for myself. I am a college student looking for a companion!

Why do you want a Pembroke?
I think a Corgi would be the best dog for me right now. Its convenient size, and positive attitude are huge factors for me. I grew up showing horses, and I have met so many fellow horse owners that have Corgis, and they absolutely love them They seem so passionately loyal, and committed to their owners. I like the fact that they are working type dogs, so they will appreciate a job to do!

Activities planned with Pembroke:
I would love to have a semi-active dog that like to play a lot and go for short runs. But I also would mind a more low key dog, that loves cuddling on the couch. I really would just like a companion.

Vet contact info:

Will handle mistakes Pembroke makes like this:
I would acknowledge the mistake through a stern tone, then ask them to do the command again.

Discipline:
I believe positive reinforcement is key. While they need to know when they have done wrong, they must also know when they are doing positive things as well. Dogs need to know that you are on their side, and that there is a sense of respect between the dog and I.

Where would Pembroke spend the majority of the time:
I live in an apartment, so most of their time would be there. I also spend a lot of time at my parent's farm. So it would also be there often.
