Why do you want a Pembroke?
What I love most about them is the corgi smile. I like that they are inquisitive and adaptable to most situations. My first was Skeeter (Buddy) in 2001 from Lakeshore. He was a handful but we got along great. He had been a stray at 7-ish months and took a bit of time to get used to others but we did good together. He died 11/2015 and I got Breanna because the breeder had died & her husband couldn't take care of all the dogs. She came to me 2 weeks after Skeet. She was the most laid back dog I've known. She died of liver disease 3 weeks ago.

Activities planned with Pembroke:
I've always taken my dogs for a before work walk and 1 or 2 after work walks. I have a decent yard for play. Depending on the dog, we've also walked in the woods.

Vet contact info:

Will handle mistakes Pembroke makes like this:
First a firm no, then a redirect to something he does right so there will be a positive outcome. Then try again.

Discipline:
If pulling while walking, I either stand still until my dog gives me his attention or do a turnabout. If too much barking, I say quiet and walk 'into' them so that they back away from whatever they are barking at.

Where would Pembroke spend the majority of the time:
When I'm at work, she would be gated in the family room. When I'm at home, she would be wherever she wants.
