Who is this dog for?

The corgi is for me. I would just love to have a companion, and corgis have always been one of my favorite breeds.

Why do you want a Pembroke?
i really want a corgi becuase it is a big dog in a little dog body! they are funny animals who love attention, something i have plenty to give, and have always been a big part of my life. my aunt and uncle had three corgis when i was growing up and i always enjoyed going over their house and playing with them. Their dogs Dudley, Sam, and Gizmo are the reason for my life appreciation for the dog breed. I know they can be quite loud and rambunctious at times but all it takes is patience and just letting a dog be a dog. I have thought about buying one of my own but i think that would be such a waste when there are already so many good corgis that need homes, and I hope that I am in consideration for adopting one of them.

Activities planned with Pembroke:
well there are plenty of dog parks to take him to so he could be socialized around other animals. East Lansing is known for their wild life so i can take him kayaking, take him for walks on a trail. Since i still still visit my parents a lot during the summer we can take him on boat rides to local islands to run around and swim. Me and my family always took our dogs every where with us. And I plan on taking my companion with me where ever i go. just because it would probably be more fun with him by my side anyways!

Will handle mistakes Pembroke makes like this:
well dogs can be dogs. I would just not encourage them to do that behavior so either or wouldnt pet him or give him a treat within that time frame to show him i wasnt happy. But i would make a note of it and find a way to prevent it from happening again.

Discipline:
To me its not about discipling, but rewarding when they do something right. Most of the time a dog wont know why they are being disciplined. So if my dog does something I dont want them to do i will not rewards them. However if they do something that i wanted them to do i will reward them with a treat or affection.

Where would Pembroke spend the majority of the time:
They would wither spend it in the house with me or out on walks
