Who is this dog for?

Mainly my 11 year old daughter but would be a family member for all 4 of us.

Why do you want a Pembroke?
They have similar traits on why we love the Rottweiler breed – very affectionate, love to be involved with the family, and tend to follow wherever we go. They have a great desire to please their owners, thus making them eager to learn and train.

Activities planned with Pembroke:
Our family loves being outdoors, we camp frequently in summer. My dad owns property near water so we are typically in the lake during the summer either swimming or fishing. We like to hike at the different parks near us.

Vet contact info:

Will handle mistakes Pembroke makes like this:
We've always had success with rewarding good behavior – with either treats, belly rubs, etc. When mistakes happen we use a stearn voice and a finger shake saying "no". Then we repeat the correct behavior and praise the dog.

Discipline:
Usually a stearn calm voice and a finger shake, sometimes ignoring the dog for just a few minutes.

Where would Pembroke spend the majority of the time:
Inside our home unless we are outside.
