Who is this dog for?

Us, our corgi Lola crossed the rainbow bridge on Christmas Eve and we hope to welcome a new family member into our home.

Why do you want a Pembroke?
Lola was our first corgi and we fell in love with the breed. I owned a chow/Shepard mix prior to Lola and the strong personality matched that of my chow mix but in a smaller package. We love that they are a heartier breed, meaning even with their small stature they are active dogs.

Activities planned with Pembroke:
We love walking the trails by our home so there would be a lot of walks, traveling to WI to visit Grandma and Grandpa, play time and cuddle time. They would be part of our everyday, part of the family.

We have walking trails by our Home and my hausband and I both enjoy walking. There would be short morning walks and afternoon extended walks as well as family walks during the weekends. Playtime would include toys, I enjoyed hide and seek with our sweet Lola, I’d hide and shed find me. We also have some dog games that I used to use when Lola was younger and needed to keep busy, puzzle games where treats or rewards are placed inside and they need to figure out how to get the reward. We usually had playtime in the evenings and during the day when Lola needed me to take a break from my work. We also have a dog park in town that we could visit.

Description of yard:

We have a small but lovely back yard with a deck and trees. We also have an inclosed sunporch that have corgi sized windows along the floor. Our Lola loved to watch the squirrels and birds from those windows. Our yard isn’t currently fenced but we have a tie out that is by the deck. Generally we are outside when the Pet would be out. The area is shaded with trees and our yard backs up to a protected area so it is very peaceful.
