Who is this dog for?

We (Matt and Emily) would like to add a corgi to our loving home.

Why do you want a Pembroke?
We have wanted a corgi for years now. We love their short little legs, and big, happy smiles. We are interested in having a small dog in general but a corgi's mix of cuteness and energy is most appealing to us. Neither of us has owned a corgi in the past but our understanding is that they can be high energy but very loving pets.

Activities planned with Pembroke:
We would like to take our corgi for walks, hikes, and the occasional swim, We have a walking path through our neighborhood and town that is dog-friendly. We also have a fenced in yard where we could play with them outdoors at home. Aside from the exercise, we would snuggle them at home on the couch and at bedtime.
