Who is this dog for?

Me (Elise Peabody)

Why do you want a Pembroke?
I have always been obsessed with Corgi videos on Facebook and I find them extremely cute and fluffy. From what I've heard (and seen from videos), everyone loves their little Corgi butts. I have never owned a Corgi, but I have met a few at dog parks near me and they're so good with other dogs and they love to play. I want to adopt one because I have been going through some mental health issues (anxiety/depression) and my parents and I think it would be a good idea for me to rescue/adopt an animal and a Corgi is the first dog that came to mind.

Activities planned with Pembroke:
I would walk my Corgi when we both wake up, again in the middle of the day and then once before bed (I live alone in an apartment off of Oakland University's campus). I go home to Grosse Pointe almost every weekend so I would bring her along with me and let her enjoy the car ride to and from. There are a few dog parks near me which I would take her to (especially in the spring/summer). My Goldendoodle Eden absolutely adores little dogs so I can see them getting along and playing all day with a ball or just running around in the backyard.

Will handle mistakes Pembroke makes like this:
It depends on the mistake. If she had an accident (pee or poop), I would show her the accident and sternly say "no, bad girl" and then take her outside. If she chewed a shoe or something along those lines, I would pretty much do the same thing. My 2 male Havanese spot all throughout the house because they're both territorial so my family and I are used to disciplining our dogs for that.

Discipline:
I, personally, don't use any specific disciplinary actions because I understand animals are animals and none are perfect. The main thing I do is make sure they know I'm upset with them by the tone of my voice.

Where would Pembroke spend the majority of the time:
With me in my apartment during the week and then with my family and I back at home in Grosse Pointe on the weekends (I'll be in GP more in the summer time).

People at home during the day?
When I'm at my apartment, it's only me, so she will need to be able to spend at least 4 hours alone until I get back from class around 2:30 PM (only Monday's, Wednesday's and Friday's). Back in Grosse Pointe, my mom works from home so she is usually home and then my cousin lives with us so he'll be there too (along with my 3 other dogs).

Where would dog eat?
In the kitchen.

Where would dog sleep:
Wherever she wants, but I would love to snuggle with her in bed.

Play & exercise:
I will bring her to the pet store to let her choose toys and I would play with her whenever I was home. I'd play with her in the morning before I leave, along with walking her, and I would play with her/walk her when I get back and then walk her at night. My Goldendoodle is obsessed with tennis balls and she could play with them all day long so my family and I are used to playing with our dogs all day. Like I mentioned before, I would take her to the dog park whenever I had the time. My apartment also has an open field behind my complex where I could run around with her and throw her a ball.

How will you exercise your dog?
Both on leash and restrained to the yard

Fenced yard?

Yes, I have a fenced in yard.

We have never had an issue with any of our dogs escaping. At my apartment, I don't have a yard, but there are many open fields where people bring their pups to play.
