Who is this dog for?

Both applicants

Why do you want a Pembroke?
We are both very active people, so we want a breed that loves to be active as well! We also live in a city in an apartment, so we don't want a large dog. The Corgi seems like the perfect size and energy level fit for our lifestyle! We have done a lot of research on this breed through reading articles and watching videos. Through that research we really feel like the Pembroke Welsh Corgi would be the perfect companion for us!

Activities planned with Pembroke:
Daily exercise, fetch at various dog parks in our community, walks or runs downtown or to farmers market, swimming at the lake, watching tv or movies together, playing with other dogs

Will handle mistakes Pembroke makes like this:
First, realize that all dogs make mistakes and that they can learn and grow from them. They shouldn't be punished for not knowing everything. Then, do our best to teach the dog how to not make that mistake anymore by using positive reinforcements.

Discipline:
We don't believe in many forms of discipline with dogs. We believe positive reinforcement is the best method of training and teaching your dog.

Where would Pembroke spend the majority of the time:
In a fenced in area of apartment while we are at work, and while we are home would be able to go throughout the apartment. We will also have time every day to be outside.
