Who is this dog for?

Both of us

Why do you want a Pembroke?
I have researched several breeds, and was very interested in the Pembroke welsh corgi breed. First, they are absolutely adorable. Like most dogs, I’ve read about how I intelligent and loyal they are. I like how they can be sturdy little guard dogs as well. Dane is very loving and affectionate with animals, especially dogs. He has always had rescue dogs and doesn’t believe in buying from a breeder, so he told me if I wanted a corgi it would have to be a rescue.

Activities planned with Pembroke:
We are both active people who enjoy jogging/running and walking in the neighborhood. We also have several parks in the area, so the dog will get lots of exercise

Will handle mistakes Pembroke makes like this:
Firm but calmly disciplining the corgi by telling him/her no immediately. Then changing the behavior depending on the situation. (Such as if the problem is nipping, giving them an appropriate chew toy)

Discipline:
I’ve read that corgi’s are herding dogs and may try to herd their owners. I’ve read that it is important to use calm, firm, consistent leadership.

Where would Pembroke spend the majority of the time:
In the house/ in the yard
