Why do you want a Pembroke?
My brothers daughter is a well respected breeder in southern Oregon. Darceys Corgis. When we visit we stay with them. There are always puppies. We fell in love at first sight. When our 12 year old rescued black lab passed after Christmas, we decided to look for a Pembroke to adopt. We like the full tails, the ears, the smile.

Activities planned with Pembroke:
Walks and walks and tennis balls. We own our home. It's a triple fenced lot in the country. 12 acres out front for dog walking and ball playing. Very quiet single lane country road. 5 minute walk to Walking Iron parks 400 acres.

Will handle mistakes Pembroke makes like this:
a strong No to start with.

Discipline:
I've never had a lot of trouble with that. All my dogs have done at least beginning obedience. I use a clear tone and always use the same words when wanting them to do something or not do something. I had a Dalmation many years back. That was a beautiful but always stubborn dog.

Where would Pembroke spend the majority of the time:
Always sleep inside. Day times inside and out when weather permits. With us on camping trips. We teach youth theater in our building 5 min walk downtown from our home. Our dogs have always been popular with the kids when they visit.
