Questions Regarding Motivation for Adopting and Intentions
Who is this dog for?	We are seeking a family dog that would be loved by our family of 4. We recently lost our near and dear furry friend to old age and are hoping to find a new member of our family to love. We are both working professionals and we have two girls ages 8 and 12. We have a good size house with a 1/2 acre lot in a dog-friendly neighborhood. We are hoping you can help us find a friend who is in need of their forever-home.
Why do you want a Pembroke?	Although we personally have never had a corgi, we have know many through the years. We like their energy and their affection. We enjoy that they are intelligent and loving and most of all cute 🙂
Activities planned with Pembroke:	We live near Hartley Nature Center in Duluth and often take long walks along these nature trails. We like to do hiking on the weekends in the summer and we have a dog-friendly cross-country ski area near by to provide winter activities for the whole family.

Will handle mistakes Pembroke makes like this:	We would try to distract them from making the mistake and try to have them change it to a positive. We have also used isolation (in a crate) if the puppy needs some time to settle down.
Discipline:	Isolation, we would have them have take a time-out when needed.
Where would Pembroke spend the majority of the time:	In our house with access to the entire house when they can be trusted. We would likely begin with them spending their days in their crate.

People at home during the day?	This summer, our 12 year-old daughter will be spending the days at home. During the school year no one is home from 9-3.

Where would dog sleep:	We would allow them to chose were they would like to sleep. Ideally cuddled in a bed with one of us 🙂
Play & exercise:	Our adopted friend would certainly get daily walks with opportunities to play with other dog in the neighborhood as well as our family and friends' dogs on visits.

Description of yard:	We have a 1/2 acre wooded lot in a quiet neighborhood in Duluth, MN. We have a trampoline and a fire pit with a nature trail trough our back lot. We recently purchased this home and we do have plans to add a fence in the coming years.
