Questions Regarding Motivation for Adopting and Intentions
Who is this dog for?	For myself.
Why do you want a Pembroke?	I have always had an obsession with Pembroke Welsh Corgis and since I moved after my graduation, I believe I am ready to take care of a corgi emotionally and financially. To be entirely honest, I first fell in love with their cute bouncy butts! I love how they are great companions for their owners and can provide emotional support. They also have their own unique characters that stand out from other breeds. I have a few friends who owned corgis and I have always loved hanging out with them and taking their corgis on walks when the owners are not free. Since I have decided to rescue a corgi of my own, I have researched extensively about their breeds, character traits, possible health issues, and so on.
Activities planned with Pembroke:	I would love to go on walks with my Pembroke in my neighborhood and hopefully find other Pembroke meetups in my area for play dates. I also love to play tug with him/her and cuddle with them at night when we are both relaxing. I also would like to make bath time a fun time and love to pamper my Pembroke, especially on his/her gotcha day with doggie ice cream. I would also love to take him/her to obedience classes and other training classes as needed so he/she could be the best cutest Pembroke!

Will handle mistakes Pembroke makes like this:	If the Pembroke makes a mistake, I would sternly tell him/her about what happened and why I do not like it. I might also not give him/her treats for that day so s/he knows that s/he made a mistake. I also would find out WHY the Pembroke made that certain mistake: is it mostly my error such that did I place the work papers in a place that s/he can reach. Then, I would make sure that all paper products are not in plain sight or can be easily reached by my Pembroke to ensure his/her safety. I will also inform this instance to his/her obedience class teacher so appropriate steps can be taken.
Discipline:	I would use conditioning method such as positive reinforcement. I would reward the corgi with treat if he/she does something positive/favorable. I would not give him/her a treat if he/she makes a mistake. I would also use a stern voice when he/she makes a mistake but would not use negative reinforcement.
Where would Pembroke spend the majority of the time:	My Pembroke will spend most of the day in my apartment. I will take him/her out on walks after work and/or during lunch time.

He/she will be sometimes (mostly always because I like spoiling my pets when I was young) sleep on the end of the bed if s/he wants. I would not force him/her though. But, for sure, he/she will have a cozy place to sleep in my bedroom.
Play & exercise:	I will walk him/her daily once in the morning and once after work. I will also seek out other corgi or dog owners so that we can have play dates. I will also take my Pembroke to dog parks so he/she can play and exercise with other dogs freely. S/he will definitely have play dates once a week on weekends.
