Who is this dog for?

For the family

Why do you want a Pembroke?
I have wanted a Corgi my whole life. I love how cute they are and how playful they are. I love that they are a smaller dog which is what I am looking for. I have been trying to find one in a shelter because I believe that adopting a dog is better than buying from a breeder or pet store. They aren’t an easy breed to find at shelters.

Activities planned with Pembroke:
I have a fenced in yard so the dog would be able to run free. Also we like to take walks. I work from home so the dog would not be left alone at home a lot.

Aware that Pembrokes are busy, noisy dogs?
Yes

Vet contact info:

Will handle mistakes Pembroke makes like this:
Most mistakes dogs make are caused by human error. If the dog chews on shoes, the best thing to do is tell the dog no but also make sure the shoes are not left out to be chewed. If the dog steals food, then it could have been caused by one of the kids leaving it out.

Discipline:
Dogs need to be trained. The best thing to do is tell them no and remove them from the environment. It may take multiple times of teaching them something but using positive reinforcement is the best method. Treats for good behaviors always produce positive results.

Where would Pembroke spend the majority of the time:
In the house. I work from home and I am home all day.
