Why do you want a Pembroke?
My last girlfriend of 2 years has a Corgi named Ziggy. I became like a dog dad to her and spent a significant amount of time with Zigs. From traveling to just being couch potato's, we became inseparable. Truly the hardest part of the breakup was loosing Ziggy. I have had numerous dogs throughout my childhood and adult life and Ziggy had the most amazing personality out of any dog I have been around.

Activities planned with Pembroke:
Daily walks, dog parks, travel companion. I am highly interested in agility training and social dog events.

Vet contact info:

Will handle mistakes Pembroke makes like this:
I would use a stern and firm command of No! I would then for example if it was a potty mistake, take the dog outside. I would refrain from training the dog through fear and intimidation. Correct the mistakes as I can and reward the successes.

Discipline:
From my experience with past dogs. I would use similar techniques to raising a toddler. Use command words to stop unwanted acts. I would then take toys away, not be so affectionate while a mistake or incident has occurred. I would also like to learn more through formal obedience training.

Where would Pembroke spend the majority of the time:
A mix between home with my retired father, with myself and doggy daycare a few times a week.
