Why do you want a Pembroke?
i started & worked a dog walking service..we had many corgi's as clients & many in our neighborhood (St. Bens) we have several corgis in our extended family (cousins) and my husband has always loved & wanted a corgi..we've looked for years to adopt but most recently denied adoption through pet finder as the young female corgi required an older dog in the home (not our puppy)

Activities planned with Pembroke:
my husband works from home, and is a homebody…i love camping & keep active traveling to WI, MI, MO and gardening in the back yard.

my husband works from home..he's only gone down town to work 4 times this year, i work 2 to 3 12-16 hour shifts weekly, but am taking off work entirely until late september to train/bond w/ our pup (Nola)

dog bed, crate, dog bed in her crate..whatever they prefer..my puppy is presently crate trained.

Play & exercise:
back yard, walking in the neighborhood, i camp at least on average monthly or more from april-october (devils lake) & hike more often in closer parks (rock cut, starved rock)

completely fenced in by 6 foot wood staggered/plank fence on the west (the 4 chihuahuas next door can't fit through)…same type of fence to the east, but only 4 foot (2 beagles next door)…the back gate is on the south side of the house, same 6 foot wood, the garage attached to the wood gate & covers the remaining back yard..our house is the barrier to the north of the yard w/ a chain link 4 ft. gate to east side of our house, to front yard…front yard is unfenced at this time..but we do have an open front porch w/ temp. dog gate when we hang out on the swing (solid wood 3 ft. solid wood walled & wood plant floor on front deck.
