Who is this dog for?

My boyfriend and I have been together for 3 and 1/2 years. We moved into a house with a fenced in yard in a quiet neighborhood. I’ve been thinking about getting a dog for a long time now, with Roger working from home and I want a little cuddle buddy on the weekends. I have always loved corgi’s and thought adoption would be the best alternative than simply buying a puppy.

Why do you want a Pembroke?
My best friend in high school owned and showed a welsh corgi. His name was tatoder and he was so friendly. I loved his wiggling little butt when he was happy and his ability to learn tricks such as “bang, bang” then lay down to play dead. He always wanted to go outside which motivated us to leave the couch. She never had any problems with him and grooming was never a big deal. I know they are low maintenance compared to my grandmas Pom. I take him to the groomer almost weekly!

Activities planned with Pembroke:
We have a dog park a few blocks from our house and we walk a lot now. We also go camping in the summer. I’d also like to have the ability to do puppy play days because my friends also have dogs.

Will handle mistakes Pembroke makes like this:
Correct it only if I see it. You can’t correct something you don’t see. The dog doesn’t know what you don’t like later if you go back and see something later. Needs to be during the action like “no potty” when you see them doing so in the house.

Discipline:
Well with Kiba if I see him doing something naughty I’ll say his name deeply. Not loudly just low with “im mad at you” and he stops immediately or I tell him the commands I taught him. Such as sit, off, back, no bark, and so on

Where would Pembroke spend the majority of the time:
Living room, kitchen, dining, our room, family room, yard. Pretty much where ever.
