Who is this dog for?

Joanna! I am a 21 year old college student.

Why do you want a Pembroke?
My family have been adopting dogs since I was a little girl. I am now 21 and would love to have a dog of my own. I know what it takes to take care of a dog because i’ve had to take care of my mom’s dogs alone for a long period of time. I want a corgi because the minute I see one, my heart skips a beat, I want to cry because they are just too cute and sweet. I am passionate about becoming a teacher and am equally as passionate about getting a corgi. They are perfect size.

Activities planned with Pembroke:
I would walk it every day, take it everywhere with me. I Live in austin and there are so many dog parks. I’d play with it and let it sleep next to me.

Will handle mistakes Pembroke makes like this:
discipline it with cage. Basically like a time out and a small smack on the butt. I’ll personally learn from the mistake and make sure it does not happen again. Dogs are like humans, people make mistakes. I will not be mad.

Discipline:
smack on the butt, time out in the cage.

Where would Pembroke spend the majority of the time:
My apartment during the mornings/days. I am a college student with morning classes and I will be home most of the day with the corgi
