Who is this dog for?

Our family

Why do you want a Pembroke?
We love Pembroke Welsh Corgis. Their energy, spunk and differing personalities are so important to us in dog ownership. We also enjoy their stubbornness to a degree, which seems a bit odd, if you think about it, but they tend to match our personalities to a T.

Activities planned with Pembroke:
We currently run with our Pembroke Welsh Corgis, we run around with them in the backyard, we play fetch with them, buy them loads of toys, spoil them, take them on car rides, take them to the family farm to run around and so forth.

Vet contact info:

Will handle mistakes Pembroke makes like this:
Gently scold the Pembroke, but show it corrective action by making it understand what it did wrong. Lightly explaining to the dog that it did wrong is the best way to handle most Pembrokes, followed by rewards for doing the correct behavior.

Discipline:
At present, we scold with a stern "no" and then train them on the correct method using a clicker and treat. Most Pembrokes seem to be highly food motivated,

Where would Pembroke spend the majority of the time:
Hanging out with his/her sisters in a 3,000 square foot house.
