Who is this dog for?

It is for Meghann and I.

Why do you want a Pembroke?
We want to adopt a Pembroke Welsh Corgi because Meghann came in contact with the breed a few years ago and fell in love. We love their unique and vibrant personalities and, of course, how adorable they are! We have done research on the breed and realize that these dogs like to herd (very active) and can be noisy; however, we are willing to work with any issues and love the corgi!

Activities planned with Pembroke:
We would go on walks in the park and around the neighborhood, play with toys, play in the backyard, cuddle, go to the groomer, go to dog events around the city (if the corgi's personality permits), take naps together, play games together, and I'm sure many other things!

Will handle mistakes Pembroke makes like this:
It depends on the mistake, but never with physical force. Most likely we would give a distraction or an alternative to whatever the corgi has done. For example, if the corgi has pottied in the house, we would immediately take it outside. If the corgi chewed on a shoe, we would be firm in saying "no" and replace the shoe with a toy.

Discipline:
Firm voice, distractions

Where would Pembroke spend the majority of the time:
In our house/on our property.
