Who is this dog for?

Jules and Pete

Why do you want a Pembroke?
I love how smart, curious, and at times stubborn corgis are! My husband and I have cared for a friend's corgis multiple times (multiple nights each time) and fell in love with their sweet, playful nature. Plus they are incredibly cute! Pete grew up with herding breeds (sheepdog and collies) and loves their energy. I did not grow up with dogs, but have always loved them. We want a dog that is affectionate yet independent, smart, and can be trained with commitment and time. We've done extensive research and based on that and our time spent with corgis, we really want one! I also work from home and am home alone often, so want a dog with a loud bark who is attentive.

Activities planned with Pembroke:
Long walks, dog park (if they are comfortable around other dogs), agility training, hanging out in our fenced in backyard, sitting at outdoor cafes and breweries.
