Who is this dog for?

Our family

Why do you want a Pembroke?
I have always loved the breed having grown up with 2 different pembroke welsh corgis. They are so intelligent and clever and have so much big dog in a smaller dog body.

Activities planned with Pembroke:
Any dog we adopt becomes a cherished member of the family and will be part of any and all activities possible. I enjoy long walks, hiking, and running and would bring the corgi along as often as possible. The corgi would also be part of just hanging out with the family whether we are watching tv and relaxing or doing something outside.

Where would Pembroke spend the majority of the time:
The Pembroke would be with our family all of the time. I work from home and am pretty much always around so it would be rare for the dog to have to go more than an hour or two alone.

Yes I work from home

Where would dog eat?
Our front room downstairs which is next to our family dining area/kitchen

Play & exercise:
We have a fenced in yard so there's plenty of opportunity during the day for a corgi to wander around outside. We also have a newly adopted 1 year old Siberian Husky so they would be able to play with each other. I take Mishka (our husky) to the dog park nearly every day and we also go on 1-2 walks a day as well so the corgi would come along for these activities.

How will you exercise your dog?

Yes, all of our current pets are friendly toward dogs.

Are you willing to work on it if your new dog doesn’t get along with your current pets right away?
Definitely-Mishka is extremely friendly and gets along great with all other dogs she has encountered at the dog (including other corgis we have met). I feel confident we could work through any issues that could arise.
