Other preferences:	My last Corgi was an adopted rescue from a puppy mill. I absolutely loved seeing her blossom and become a happy, loving dog. I definitely would not be opposed to another opportunity like that!

Why do you want a Pembroke?	I fell in love with Corgis when I young (I watched a special on tv about the breed), and got my first one when I was 12. They are spunky, fierce, loyal, and have STRONG personalities! There is not another breed with the same amount of weird. Ever since my Pixie passed away, I have had a Corgi-shaped hole in my heart. I am passionate about rescue. Pixie was a rescue, and I promised her if she had to leave, that I would use that opportunity to save another life.
Activities planned with Pembroke:	Hiking, cuddling, teaching tricks, general goofing around. Occasional road trips

Will handle mistakes Pembroke makes like this:	Training is largely about positive reinforcement, especially with rescue dogs who may have been penalized roughly for their mistakes in the past. Mistakes can be moved past. Good behavior needs to be reinforced with praise and/ or treats- depending on the dog.
Discipline:	It depends on the behavior and the dog. We use some verbal scolding, time out, or ignoring attention-seeking behavior.
Where would Pembroke spend the majority of the time:	In the house, yard, or hiking. We do have a large kennel that is indoor but gives outdoor access.

Play & exercise:	As mentioned, I love to go hiking. I go on my days off of work and sometimes after work. We also have some land that we run around on. We are a fairly active household.

Description of yard:	We live about a half mile off of the road and own 11 acres. We have one shed on our property. No livestock. Some trees and lots of grass. No pool. We have a large fenced-in deck.
