Who is this dog for?

This Pembroke is for myself. In January of 2018, my cat 19 year old cat Alex passed away. I have been debating about getting another pet, but with the one year anniversary of her passing approaching, I believe that I am ready to care for another animal and provide a loving home for their life-time.

Why do you want a Pembroke?
A friend of mine had a pair of corgi's when I lived in Houston….and the best word to describe them would be two giant balls of love. They were the sweetest dogs that I have ever come across and I was always surprised that so much hair could come out of such a small dog during shedding. But that constant smile on their faces just melted my heart.

Activities planned with Pembroke:
In Elmhurst, there are tons of open spaces for exercise and dog parks where they could make tail friends.

Where would Pembroke spend the majority of the time:
If not on a cushion on my heated area rug, then probably on a cushion in a sunny spot looking out onto Elm Creek watching the ducks.
