Who is this dog for?

Myself. My entire adult life I have had to watch my 3 kids and husband choose their dog friends. Mostly living on a dirt road in the country, these have been drop offs and strays. Every time I think we can get another dog, one of my daughters brings one home, or a stray we can't say no to shows up. I have always loved the Corgi breed and always have wanted one. They seem to go along with farms, horses and barns. Right now, we only have one other dog so it is my time to jump on this! I have considered purchasing from a breeder but frankly with all of the dogs in shelters I kind of feel guilty about doing that. If there is a corgi out there who needs his forever home, please consider me!

Why do you want a Pembroke?
I have read all about the breed. Why do I like them? I smile when I see one. They are tooo cute. They make me happy. Small with a big attitude.

Activities planned with Pembroke:
trail ride with my horse. sit on couch and binge watch Netflix! Whatever we want – we will be retired.

Will handle mistakes Pembroke makes like this:
depends on the mistake. If they pee or poop in the house, I would clap my hands and say NO in a firm voice and take them out. The best thing to do is get them on a schedule and STICK with it.

Discipline:
Voice commands. A firm no usually suffices.

Where would Pembroke spend the majority of the time:
With me. Either in the house or in the barn.

Yes. All the time. Both my husband and I will be retired.

Where would dog eat?
all dog and cat food are kept in my back entry way. it has a tiled floor and that is where I keep their water and feed them.

Where would dog sleep:
doggie beds in our bedroom, but if he's like some of our other dogs more than likely in our bed with us. King size – plenty of room to snuggle.

Play & exercise:
Daily. Twice a day we would need to walk to the barn and clean and do chores. I have 12 acres, so not a problem.
