Who is this dog for?

For our family

Why do you want a Pembroke?
We recently moved to Michigan 3 years ago and began looking into which breeds to adopt. We know other families with Corgis, Westies and Scotties and often dog sit when they need to go on vacation. This has also allowed our children to work with a variety of dogs and temperments. We love that these dogs have a big personality in a small package.

Activities planned with Pembroke:
We have a large yard and nearby walking path to walk and ride bikes. We love being outdoors in every season. We also love to camp. We have friends who train dogs to do "barn hunting" and we'd like to see if our next dog would be interested in this too.

Where would Pembroke spend the majority of the time:
Inside our ranch house with a choice of going outside from our walk out basement. We live on an acre of land.

In the kitchen

Where would dog sleep:
Living room or kitchen

Play & exercise:
We have several dog parks in our surrounding cities. We are also in a very walkable area where many people take their dogs with them to public events. The dog would have an acre of land to explore. Our children will be the primary "exercizers".
