| Questions Regarding Motivation for Adopting and Intentions | |||||||
|
Who is this dog for? |
Both of us. We are dog people with no children and are looking to welcome a new Pembroke into our home. | ||||||
Why do you want a Pembroke? |
We love the breed. The size, personality, and energy level of a PWC is ideal to what we seek in a dog. I like a dog who can be comfortable on my lap (small enough), but has a big dog attitude. We have had a PWC before, and I cannot imagine having a dog who more perfectly suited us. His are big shoes to fill, but we are ready to fill the void left by his passing. Our male PWC, Coda, was adopted as a rescue in 2011 after an owner surrender. He went hiking with us in the mountains of South Dakota and North Carolina, herded a basketball around our backyard, and loved his people. He was happy doing anything with us as long as we kept him active and engaged. |
||||||
Activities planned with Pembroke: |
Hiking our 20 acre property, herding a basketball around the yard (if the Corgi takes to the activity like our last PWC did), vacationing in hiking/mountain areas, walking on local trails. Obedience training – both for overall obedience and for the mental stimulation that comes from performing tasks on command. |
