Who is this dog for?

Myself.

Why do you want a Pembroke?
Wow there is so much that I love and ADORE about corgis. I absolutely love their colors and obviously their fluffy butts. I also love that they seem always happy to greet you or be by you and that’s something I need currently.

Activities planned with Pembroke:
Anything and everything. I love to walk on the trails next to my apartment (we can run for as long as their little legs can go for). I also have a fenced in dog park literally right next to my room outside of my apartment so plenty of play time. They will go everywhere they can with me so plenty of car rides and also all the snuggles they could wish for. I will love them with all of my heart and make them the happiest they can be with any activity they enjoy.

Aware that Pembrokes are busy, noisy dogs?
Yes

Money for basic care?

Yes

Money for unforeseen medical expenses?
Yes

Willing to house train?
Yes
Willing to do formal training? Yes

Do you have a veterinarian?

Yes

Vet contact info:
{If yes, please provide contact information including the vet’s name, clinic name, street address, city, state, zip, and phone. Also include the website if there is one.:52}

Will handle mistakes Pembroke makes like this:
I would try a few options to see what works best with that pup but an option would be say they tore something up would be crate time directly afterwards. (Kinda like putting a kid in the corner) but say it was something much smaller I would just work with them on helping them not make the same mistake and train with them.

Discipline:
Like I said above I would crate them for an efficient amount of time. I wouldn’t hit a dog because that can leave long lasting mental damage. I would use a stern voice with them and make it clear that they are being disciplined.

Where would Pembroke spend the majority of the time:
My companion would more than likely be with me in my room, out and about outside, on campus (they will get plenty of attention there), and I even plan on getting them registered as a support animal for my anxiety so they will probably go to class with me too if they aren’t a barker, otherwise they will just be at home laying around if I can trust them outside of a crate. (If I cant then we will train to be trusted outside of a crate). Also if it is a worry, I don’t have many classes.

House dog or outside dog?

House dog

People at home during the day?
Yes.

Where would dog eat?
Since my roommate has a dog I would either keep the food and water bowls in my room or in my personal bathroom. I know dogs have issues with eating in other dogs spaces.

Where would dog sleep:
With me in my bed!

Play & exercise:
I LOVE to be outside so plenty of walks, runs, play time at the park, going to the beach, and interactions with people on campus.

How will you exercise your dog?
On leash

Fenced yard?

Yes, I have a fenced in yard.

Willing to pick up dog waste?
Yes, I will clean up after my dog.

Willing to use a crate?
I consider myself to have a fenced in yard because RIGHT NEXT to my bedroom is a dog park. The only difference between mine and a normal homes is that I can’t just open my door to the fenced yard, I have to take a 30 second walk and open that gate. I would obviously be with them at all times when out there.
