Who is this dog for?

Me!

Why do you want a Pembroke?
I'm looking for a smaller dog with a large breed personality. I like a working dog that requires activity and brain stimulation, but will also relax at the end of the night. I would like a dog that cares about the family enough to go to the door to see who the "stranger" is, but then is very friendly. I would like a clever breed that can learn multiple commands and enjoys the training process.

Activities planned with Pembroke:
– Go on hikes
-Potential agility courses (within their physical limits)
-As a former Zoo Keeper/Trainer we would learn lots of fun commands/sequences at formal dog training classes

Aware that Pembrokes are busy, noisy dogs?
Yes

Money for basic care?

Yes

Money for unforeseen medical expenses?
Yes

Willing to house train?
Yes
Willing to do formal training? Yes

Do you have a veterinarian?

Yes

Vet contact info:
{If yes, please provide contact information including the vet’s name, clinic name, street address, city, state, zip, and phone. Also include the website if there is one.:52}

Will handle mistakes Pembroke makes like this:
It depends on the situation/behavior.
Example: dog is biting hand, so I would give him a toy that he is allowed to bite.
Eample: dog is urinating in house, take him out more frequently and praise them for urinating outside
Example: dog is destroying house, take her on more walks so shes tired and doesn't want to destroy house

Discipline:
Positive Reinforcement is the tactic I am comfortable with. If a behavior is undesired, I typically ignore/stop playing. No attention is enough for most dogs to change behavior or refocus on what I'm asking.

Where would Pembroke spend the majority of the time:
The house/ the park with me
