Who is this dog for?

 companionship. I live an active life style but am living in an apartment.

Why do you want a Pembroke?
 I love the personalities of these dogs!!! They're loyal, but independent. They're smart, but not trying to outsmart the owner. I like they they can be social and taken on walks, but are okay in an apartment. My experience with the breed has been through working 5+ years in a vet clinic. I get so excited when they come into the clinic because they're so silly! I've done a lot of research because I truly am fascinated by them. As a future vet, I love to know as much as I can about breed generics, and since I am interested in adopting a corgi I've gone a step further with them. I want to have kids within the next ten years, and I know if I rescue a corgi he or she would be in the picture, too. I know these dogs for the most part are good with kids.

Activities planned with Pembroke:
 I like walk/ runs. My apartment has a private dog park, so I would want a corgi I could socialize with other dogs. Its not uncommon that people are walking around vet school with their dogs after hours, so I'd like a dog who would like to come places with me too.
