For my husband and myself.

Why do you want a Pembroke?
I love their short stature and coloring. I understand that they are high energy and intelligent which I appreciate. I love that they are social and playful, I want a dog who will play well with others. I have done my research, but I do not know anyone who has owned one.

Activities planned with Pembroke:
Take it for hikes and walks. Try to take the dog to the beach, wherever they will let us safely take them. We have family members with dogs and we want to be able to take the Pembroke with us to socialize with them.

We understand that they are not perfect and are adjusting to our rules so they. So we will say "no" with a firm voice.

Discipline:
Positive reinforcement when they do something correctly/follow the rules. If they do something bad, we will use the word "no" immediately after with a firm voice. Vocal directives and time outs if the behavior is really intense.

No swimming pool. A few trees in the yard, but very spascious. Plan to get an electric fence in the future. The neighbors yard is fenced in along one side. The backside there is a tree line bordering neighbors. The other neighbor has a pool that is fenced in.
