Who is this dog for?

Myself and my partner, Christyn and Josh

Why do you want a Pembroke?
I have always loved Corgis, my grandma had two when I was younger. She had one who was very hyper and one who was calmer, the calm one had a seizure disorder and ultimately passed because of it. I have seen both sides of the corgis and have loved both of them. The calm pup was my baby and she would cuddle up to me and always be so happy to see me. The more energetic one once decided to jump in the tub with me while I was taking a bath, which was hilarious. Ever since I have wanted a corgi. I have not done a ton of research on corgis in a long time, but I am a graduate student and love to learn and become proficient so if I was given the gift of adopting a corgi, I would do as much research to learn how to take care of them.

Activities planned with Pembroke:
We would cuddle on the couch and play with toys. I also live right beside a park and across the street is a much bigger park, so there is plenty of space to run around and spend time outdoors.

People at home during the day?
It's flexible, with being a student I have more flexibility and my partner works 9-5. So we have worked out our schedules so that a dog would not be home for more than 4-5 hours without someone being around.

Where would dog eat?
In the kitchen, out of its bowl.

Where would dog sleep:
I would prefer for the corgi to sleep in the bed with us, but am also planning on getting a doggie bed for it, so it would sleep wherever it desires.

Play & exercise:
There are many opportunities to play with myself or my partner during the day and weekends, we will buy a lot of toys for the corgi I'm sure. As previously mentioned, we also live near two parks so would have many opportunities to go run around the parks and explore the neighborhood.
