Who is this dog for?

This corgi would be for my husband and myself.

Why do you want a Pembroke?
We have never owned a pembroke welsh corgi before but have always thought they were beautiful dogs. We've always like smaller dogs with big personalities. Our last dog ,a Yorkshire terrier, was a rescue from our local humane society. We had to put him down three years ago at the age of 13. We weren't sure we wanted another dog but we both miss having one.

Activities planned with Pembroke:
We are snowbirds and reside in FL.in the winter. We take lots of long walks in our community.
Lots of playtime in the house if that's something he/she enjoys. Chip, our last dog loved golf cart rides so that is something else we would do.

Will handle mistakes Pembroke makes like this:
I'm not sure how to answer this question. If I were to be lucky enough to be considered , I would consult professionals and definitely be reading materials that were recommended. I can tell you that force and physical punishments would not be used.

Discipline:
Positive reinforcement ..rewarding good behaviors.

Where would Pembroke spend the majority of the time:
With us. My husband and I are both retired and have lots of time to devote. He/she would not have to spend their days alone. In Indiana where we live in the summer, we have three acre of land. This is not fenced but lots of outside walk time and cart rides.
