Who is this dog for?

It is for myself.

Why do you want a Pembroke?
I met a Pembroke a few years back through an acquaintance and have wanted one of my own ever since. I think it's the right breed for me. I really enjoy their demeanor and it's a very distinct breed. I also find them to be quite adorable.

Activities planned with Pembroke:
Many things. Some that I have in mind would be walks through the forest and I would even take it on small road trips if it can handle car rides well. I plan on spending a decent amount of time with this dog.

Aware that Pembrokes are busy, noisy dogs?
Yes

Money for basic care?

Yes

Money for unforeseen medical expenses?
Yes

Willing to house train?
Yes
Willing to do formal training? Yes

Do you have a veterinarian?

Yes

Vet contact info:
{If yes, please provide contact information including the vet’s name, clinic name, street address, city, state, zip, and phone. Also include the website if there is one.:52}

Will handle mistakes Pembroke makes like this:
It depends on the mistake. Often times it's the humans fault for not putting things up properly or not taking the dog to training as they should. All dogs should have obedience training. If the dog we have does something he should not we usually remove him from the situation, put him in a sit and tell him no.

Discipline:
Stern "No", remove from situation, treats to encourage learning. Common sense with things like electronic cords and other things that we know they will get into without proper care.

Where would Pembroke spend the majority of the time:
During the days, it would spend a fair amount of time with my brother's dog (3 year old German Shepherd) as he lives in the same house I do. The German Shepherd is quite friendly with dogs. During the nights, the dog would be upstairs with me sleeping in my bedroom. He/ she would rarely be alone as someone in the household is almost always at home. He/ she would be strictly an indoor family member with supervised outdoor play time daily.

People at home during the day?
Yes, someone is almost always home. Rarely would the dog be alone.

Where would dog eat?
It would eat in the dining room where the other dog eats with his own food bowls.

Where would dog sleep:
It can sleep upstairs with me wherever he wants to. It will have a dog bed for choice or human bed.

Play & exercise:
I can usually take the dog out on walks multiple times per day in town on a leash. It would probably average about an hour to 2 hours per day of exercise and forest (park) trails twice per day every day with the other pup.
