Why do you want a Pembroke?
 I’m very fond of herding dogs because I find them beyond smart, silly, and energetic. I’m looking for a dog that I can focus on training and that I can be more active with. Corgis are the smallest of these dogs and would best fit in my medium sized apartment. I also just think they look adorable.

I don’t have any experience with corgis but I do have experience with herding dogs. My dog up until I was 23 was a German shepherd who had a lot of energy to spare.

Activities planned with Pembroke:
 I live two blocks from a large prairie- esque park in the city so on most days, I’ll take them to do laps (or just walk around). On weekends, I tend to go to state parks or the beach.

Will handle mistakes Pembroke makes like this: 		I’d first try to figure out why the dog made a mistake at all. If it’s for reasons that I can control (such as whining at the dinner table) then I would correct my behavior until the dog stops acting this way.

If it’s something outside of my personal control, I would either ignore the dog (if they want attention) and seek guidance from a trainer.
