Who is this dog for?

 The Pembroke would be a family pet. We have a family of 4 (2 children 8 and 19 – the 19 year old is MSU Student who lives at home seasonally). We have had two family dogs in the past – Samoyed pure breed (lived 12 years), and a rescue Samoyed mix (our pet for 13 years).

Why do you want a Pembroke?
 We love the breed, small and friendly. However, we have no previous experience owning a Pembroke Welsh Corgi. We do have a friend who owns a puppy.
Corgi dogs are good family dogs. We love an outgoing, friendly dog.
We like dogs with a herding background due to their loyalty and love for their family.
We have previously owned Samoyed and Samoyed mix dogs (1 purebred and purchased from a breeder, and 1 rescue Samoyed Mix).

Activities planned with Pembroke:
 I walk daily, and would love to have the dog along for nice walks. We live on a lake and would love to take the dog on the boat with the family. I work from home so I can be home with the dog most days.
