Why do you want a Pembroke?
 We have owned corgis for decades. (One at a time). Larry has always been fascinated with corgis and in 1980ish he had the opportunity to rescue a corgi whose breeder passed away and the family gave away all the corgis.

Activities planned with Pembroke:
 We have a very large fenced in back yard. He/She would be allies to be out there supervised when the weather is appropriate. We live in a small town and walks on a leash would also take place. Our daughter lives a few houses down the street and she has 3 rescue dogs of different breeds that could be playmates if it is determined they will play nicely. She also has a fenced in yard.

Will handle mistakes Pembroke makes like this: 		We find the best method to prevent mistakes is to have a daily routine/schedule. We both are retired and are home most of the time. If needed our daughter can let the dog(s) out if we happen to be gone. Our previous corgis are also crate trained. Buddy, our last corgi saw his crate as his place. He eventually got to the point he spent time in the crate on his own
volition.

Discipline:
 We typically use a stern voice. We absolutely do not believe in any physical punishment.

Where would Pembroke spend the majority of the time:
 We have a relatively large home and the dogs spend their time in the large den. They sleep in the bedroom with us on the floor.
