Who is this dog for?

 For me. I am a single woman living in Chicago. I grew up with dogs, my former roommate had a dog, and I've found myself missing the companionship. I would be home with the dog a fair amount. I'm in the habit of going for a walk myself at least once a day, so it wouldn't be much of an adjustment to take the dog outside quite a bit. I thought now would be a good time to get a pet because I'm working from home (most likely for at least the next couple of months), and I'll be home all day while it's adjusting to a new home.

Why do you want a Pembroke?
 Based on what I've read and heard from others, I think the breed is a good fit for my living situation. I knew someone who had a couple of corgis and I thought they were incredibly sweet and fun.

 Take him for walks, play, pet.

Will handle mistakes Pembroke makes like this: 		I'm a patient person and I understand that it takes time for a dog to learn things. If the Pembroke made a mistake, I would try giving the directive again using positive reinforcement.

 I think positive reinforcement is the most successful training tool. I might use corrective commands, but I would never physically discipline a dog .

 For now, I am working from home, so I am home all day. I also have friends who work from home and could check on the dog if needed.

Play & exercise:
 There are multiple dog parks near me that I could take my adopted corgi to. I also go for a walk at least once a day. If I had a dog, I would go for a walk in the morning, take it outside on my lunch break if possible, and make sure it got out at least once at night. If necessary, I would consider hiring a dog walker. I would also play with the corgi within my home.
