Who is this dog for?

 The two applicants. Two people in their early 30's

Why do you want a Pembroke?
 We have been considering adopting for a long time and believe now is the right time. We are particularly interested in a PWC because two of our good friends already have a PWC and we have had the pleasure of looking after him when our friends are away. We can't wait to have a PWC join our family as well.

Activities planned with Pembroke:
 We would frequently walk around the neighborhood, in parks, and visit dog parks. We would occasionally take longer walks/hikes in state parks. If the PWC enjoys it, there would also be a daily jog. There would be lots of time to play and interact throughout the day and time for training and mental stimulation built in.

Will handle mistakes Pembroke makes like this: 		My Ph.D. is in psychology so fortunately, I am well versed in behavioral psychology methods of training. Some examples of ways I would handle a mistake are timeouts, using a stern voice to communicate displeasure, removing toys, and not providing attention in response to the behavior.

Discipline:
 Physical discipline (e.g., hitting) is off the table for me. Positive and negative reinforcement techniques are far more effective than punishment and thus, I would lean on those.

Where would Pembroke spend the majority of the time:
 In our home or with us out on various trips.
