Why do you want a Pembroke?
 Corgis have all the characteristics we want in a dog. I want a dog I can enjoy physical activities with, ie daily walks, fetch, and dog park visits. Naomi wants a dog she can physically control, and our current dog Duke (~50lbs) is at the high end of the weight range. She also wants a dog who will bark at the door and alert her to someone who might be outside.

While I have no personal experience with the breed, in owning or fostering in my immediate family, I have watched a lot of youtube videos on the breed and spoken with corgi owners that I've met at dog parks or walking.


Activities planned with Pembroke:
 Daily walks (twice a day), day trips to the beach during the summer, hikes in the fall and winter, running errands around town and riding in the truck year round, and playing fetch and learning new tricks.

Will handle mistakes Pembroke makes like this: 		I try to remove whatever item or behavior results in the mistake that the corgi would be making.

Discipline:
 I have a special noise that I make for Duke when he's engaging in behavior I don't want him to do. I also will get in his personal space and make sure I have his attention before allowing him to leave. The best thing to do in terms of minimizing the need to discipline my dog is to provide lots of structure.

Where would Pembroke spend the majority of the time:
