Questions Regarding Motivation for Adopting and Intentions
Who is this dog for? |
Myself | ||||||
Why do you want a Pembroke? |
My reasons for wanting to adopt a Corgi come from a variety of research and first hand experiences with the breed. As a high energy breed, Corgis are great companions for a highly active couple who enjoys long walks and hikes throughout Indianapolis. Additionally, Corgis are incredibly smart animals, which can be challenging but the rewards are exceptional loyalty and affection. Having dogsit for a neighbor during my college years who owned a corgi, I have witnessed first hand the large personality and vocal abilities.
Activities planned with Pembroke: |
Walking, Hiking, Doggy play dates at the Carmel Dog Park (membership-only dog park), Commands/tricks to encourage mental stimulation. Full fenced in yard for play time chasing balls/our other dog. Neighbors all have friendly dogs and fenced in yards as well and we frequently let the dogs play during nicer weather. Car rides and adventures beyond our city once COVID is over. We frequently leave for long weekends during warmer months and always take our current pup with us and plan dog-friendly trips.

Free to roam the house and/or fenced in backyard. A crate is available if/when they get comfortable in new home and crate feels like a safe/comfy place for them. When not working they would be spending time at dog park, my best friends house, or on trips with my fiancé and I as well as hanging at the house.
