Why do you want a Pembroke?
 I have wanted a Corgi since a young child. I received a statue of one as a gift on the day of Queen Elizabeth’s coronation. My family always had dogs, as have my husband and myself but we all believed in rescuing animals. I was just recently made aware of corgi rescues by a friend who had a corgi and felt this might be a way for us to rescue a corgi.

Activities planned with Pembroke:
 Whatever the dog enjoyed and was used to doing or needed. We would like it to adjust well as it would be in a new situation so any information we could learn would help us.

Where would Pembroke spend the majority of the time:
 At home with us wherever they were comfortable. We have had dogs that wanted to be able to go into a crate and others that preferred certain rooms or to be wherever we were. That depends on the individual dog.

 Most of the days and weekends. We are on slightly different work schedules so most work days we are gone 6 hours. We have a dog walker we have used it a dog needed attention during a longer day.

Where would dog eat?
 We have always had the dogs food bowels and water in a room away from noise and
activity. We can change that if there is any need.

Where would dog sleep:
 Where it seemed best or most familiar to the dog. Most of our dogs have slept on a dog bed in the room of their favorite person in the family.

Play & exercise:
 We have a large fenced yard. We also have walked our dogs locally and taken them to forest preserves. There are dog parks but that depends on the particular dog whether that is a good idea. The answer depends fully on the particular pet.
