Who is this dog for?

Myself

Why do you want a Pembroke?
Myself and my fiancé have always loved corgis and always wanted one. We have friends that have them and they are lovable great dogs and exactly what we are looking for. We love the cute short stubby legs too (:

Activities planned with Pembroke:
Ultimately whatever the doggy enjoys. I’d take him/her on walks to keep him/her healthy and in shape. I’d go on walks, take to the park. Have lots of chill days at home and play with him/her in the backyard.

Aware that Pembrokes are busy, noisy dogs?
Yes

Money for basic care?

Money for unforeseen medical expenses?
Yes

Willing to house train?
Yes
Willing to do formal training? Yes

Do you have a veterinarian?

Yes

{If yes, please provide contact information including the vet’s name, clinic name, street address, city, state, zip, and phone. Also include the website if there is one.:52}

Will handle mistakes Pembroke makes like this:
It depends on the situation. I would never hit my dog. In the past I have put my dog in a “time out” and have put in the cage for a little bit of time. I will tell the doggy “no” to what he/she has done. Over time they learn what is good and bad.

Discipline:
Putting in a cage for a short amount of time.
Firmly telling the doggy “no” when it’s doing what he/she shouldn’t be doing.
In the past I have just picked up my dog and held him when he’s doing something he should be be doing. That usually gets his mind off of what he shouldn’t have been doing.

Where would Pembroke spend the majority of the time:
Depends if the doggy is an active one or a lazy one.
If he or she is active they can run around the house and backyard. If they are lazy they can lay on my bed or couch or doggy bed all day.
