Who is this dog for? |
Myself | ||||||
Why do you want a Pembroke? |
I have only researched the breed, & have known one wonderful corgi through a friend. The breed seems gentle, easily trained, smart, fun loving. I would like to have a corgi trained to be able to go with me as a calming/emotional support service dog to visit with my sweet clients, & possibly enter hospital's to visit people who may want some soft cuddles…
Activities planned with Pembroke: |
Long walks in the woods. Parks with my grandchildren. Having the dog play with balls, toys, & enjoying each other. Lots of snuggle's . My grandchildren and I love obstacle courses, playing outside, water play, fall leaves, snow, all fun things a pup would enjoy. I would love to enroll a dog; (corgi) in the emotional support classes for dogs. I believe a corgi pup/dog would be a great fit. I really love animals ❤️. I have had dogs all my life, & really enjoy them. I have dog parks nearby, & plenty of places to walk.

Will handle mistakes Pembroke makes like this: |
I am not sure what mistake you mean, but if it's potty training, just take the dog out more often. If it's something chewed, it was my mistake for leaving it in reach. I don't discipline a dog, I will just be careful not to leave anything that he or she could get hurt by, or anything that isn't a toy for the dog. Mistakes happen to all of us. I will do my very best to keep a dog safe, healthy, & happy. I would take the object away that the dog shouldn't have and give him or her a toy or safe chew item.
Discipline: |
I don't reward bad behavior, and also don't give attention to it. I do reward good behavior; such as in training, a tiny piece of chicken, or favorite treat. Pat, or hug, say good job, & name of animal.
Where would Pembroke spend the majority of the time: |
The Corgi dog would spend most time with me. I will have a seat belt for the dog in car as well.
