Why do you want a Pembroke?
 We recently lost our corgi, Pilot, after 11 years. Corgis for us are the perfect size/activity combination, as we travel with our dog a lot (car rides), and participate in a lot of outdoor activities (hiking, camping, etc.). Pilot was a barker and a little standoffish with other dogs, so we have experience managing around difficulties and working with training and counter-conditioning.

Activities planned with Pembroke:
 Walks, Car Travel, Hiking, Camping, Agility if the dog is up for it.

Will handle mistakes Pembroke makes like this: 		That's a broad question, but I believe in positive methods of training. I own and read books by Patricia McConnell, Karen London, Pat Miller, Karen Pryor, all of whom form the basis for my relationship to dogs and training. I have taken classes with Dog's Best Friend in Madison with previous dogs, and have volunteered with them as an assistant trainer in the past.

 Standard yard for a house on a culdesac with a couple acres of woods behind the backyard. We do not have a fence but would take the dog out on leash until well trained and then we have a good tie-out system that is well monitored from inside.
