Who is this dog for?

Us – Alexa and Travis

Why do you want a Pembroke?
Aside from how cute they are, we love that corgi's have their own individual personalities. They are spunky and active. Corgi's are loyal and smart.

Activities planned with Pembroke:
Trips to the dog park, walks both in the neighborhood and on walking trails. Play dates with doggy friends. We would also enroll him/her in training to keep them engaged.

Vet contact info:

Will handle mistakes Pembroke makes like this:
I would be sure to remember to reward when they are doing the CORRECT behavior, so they know which action gets them a treat/attention. I would use a consistent sound/work/phrase to let them know their action is not the right one, so they can get the hang of what is acceptable.

Discipline:
I would use positive reinforcement. For example, if they are barking or chewing, I would distract them to play or do another activity, and reward them that way. If they continue to exhibit the undesired behavior, I would tell them "no" and avoid giving he/she attention for a short time to let them know what they did was wrong.

Where would Pembroke spend the majority of the time:
Playing with our other dog in the apartment, evening walks and frequent visits to the dog park (until it's too cold,)
