Who is this dog for?

For our family. Myself, my husband, and our 6 yr old son.

Why do you want a Pembroke?
I grew up at a horse ranch and the owner had two corgis. They were so fun and full of personality. I decided then that I'd have one some day. I love their look. I love that they seem like farm dogs. Short, smaller, but stout and sturdy. They all seem like characters.

Activities planned with Pembroke:
I would walk ours, let it swim in the pond if it likes, go on horse rides once I know it will stay with me. Run around the farm, greet kids that I have coming for horseback riding lessons and camp days I provide at my house. Live indoors, lay on the couch with us. I would take it to work with me at the vet clinic during the weekdays. Right now I take one of my beagles.

Will handle mistakes Pembroke makes like this:
I would look at ways to long term train it to help that behavior. I'd also in that moment tell it no and try to direct its attention to then something else.

Discipline:
Positive reinforcement.

Where would Pembroke spend the majority of the time:
In the house with us, or in the barn if we are out there or outside. I also intend to take it to work me at the vet clinic. It can hang out behind receptionist desk with me. I often walk my beagle mix on my lunch hour.
