Happy in a dorm room. Obviously he/she will get LOTS OF LOVE, and my college (Eckerd College) is extremely pet friendly, dogs are everywhere. I also have arranged with my work that I will be able to bring the dog with me! The only requirement is that they are not over 100 pounds, which I doubt will be an issue given the breed, and that they are housetrained.

Who is this dog for?

Me! My name is Jolie Pont and I am actually looking for an emotional support animal (I do have a prescription and if you would like to speak with a mental health professional that is more than ok). I did some research into breeds and have my heart set on a corgi! I go to school in Florida but am from Chicago originally and would love if I could get the dog during Thanksgiving break.

Why do you want a Pembroke?
The research I have done showed that they are the perfect emotional support animal. Super loving and loyal, not too too hyper. I really feel as if he/she would do super well living with me. I also am aware of a few other corgi owners at my college.

Activities planned with Pembroke:
Walks at least twice a day, visits to the doggy park at my school, and visits to pet friendly beaches.

{If yes, please provide contact information including the vet’s name, clinic name, street address, city, state, zip, and phone. Also include the website if there is one.:52}

Will handle mistakes Pembroke makes like this:
Common training techniques. Some scolding or being put in the crate when something goes wrong, treats when they do something wrong. I have grown up with dogs all my life, so I understand that training can sometimes not be a straight forward process.

Discipline:
Scolding and crate punishments. I would feel bad using a spray bottle or a choke collar, but have done it with previous dogs before.

Where would Pembroke spend the majority of the time:
It's hard to say. Probably half of the day would be in a dorm room (either mine or my boyfriends), and the other half outside.
